What are loyalty rewards on Mosey?
Loyalty rewards are the thank-you a place gives you for coming back: a free coffee after enough visits, money off after you have spent enough, a treat once you reach a new level. On Mosey they live in the app, so there is no paper card to fill in or to lose in the bottom of a bag.
Each place that runs rewards sets up its own. You will see them on the place's page, so you know what you are working towards before you spend anything.
How do I earn loyalty rewards?
Find a place with rewards
Look for its rewards on the place's page in the app, or browse the programmes near you.
Pay with Mosey, or tap in
At the till, pay from your phone, or hold it to the Mosey Tap tag at the counter. Either way, the visit counts.
Collect your reward
Watch your progress build in the app, then show your reward to staff when you have earned it.
What is a Mosey Tap tag?
A Mosey Tap tag is a small tag at a place's counter. Hold your phone to it and your card opens on the screen behind the counter. Staff see it, then add your visit or hand over your reward. If you cannot tap, you can read out a short code instead.
You need to be in the place's rewards scheme for a visit to count. If you have not joined yet, the app offers to join you there and then, and your visits count from that moment.
A tap is a request that staff confirm, which keeps the count honest for the place and for you.
What kinds of rewards are there?
A place picks the kind that suits how its customers eat.
By visit
A stamp for each visit, and a reward when the card is full, like a stamp card that fills itself.
By spend
A reward once what you have spent adds up to a level the place sets.
By how often you come
A reward for coming a set number of times in a week or another period.
By dish
A stamp each time you order a particular item, such as the house coffee.
How do I use a reward?
A reward can be a percentage off, an amount off, a free item or points towards one. When yours is ready, the app tells you. Show it to staff, who give you a short code to enter on your phone, and the reward is redeemed on the spot.
At places that take Order Ahead, many rewards you hold can be applied at checkout, so you do not need to wait until you are standing at the counter.
Rewards can expire. The app shows the date on every reward, and sends a reminder before one runs out, so you do not lose it by accident.
Do vouchers and memberships count towards rewards?
Often, yes. Vouchers you hold are applied when you pay, and where a place runs rewards, spending a voucher there counts towards them. Buying a voucher does not earn a reward on its own. The reward comes when it is spent, and if you gave the voucher as a gift, the person you sent it to earns it.
Events and vouchers that count towards loyalty carry an Earns loyalty tag in the app, so you can tell before you buy.
Who are loyalty rewards for?
They suit the regular: the person who has the same coffee on the way to work, the family who has a favourite Friday takeaway, the group who always meet in the same pub. If you would go back anyway, you may as well be rewarded for it.
They are just as useful if you visit several places. One app holds all your progress, and some groups of places let you earn across all of them.

Do I need to carry a loyalty card?
No. Your progress builds in the app with every visit, so there is no card to carry.
Does every place have rewards?

Do my rewards run out?
They can. Every reward in the app shows its expiry date, and Mosey reminds you before one runs out.
