Boost and outreach
Restaurant marketing to customers who agreed to hear from you
Boost tells your followers, your members and nearby guests about a promotion, event or special. Only people who said yes are reached, you see the price before you pay and the results afterwards.
Free to claim
Every tool is optional.
How do I tell people about an offer without paying for ads I cannot measure?
You post on social media, it reaches a fraction of your followers, and you cannot tell who walked in because of it. Paying for reach on a big platform means paying to be shown to strangers, with a bill that grows and an answer that does not.
The messages that work are short, timed and sent to people who asked for them: a quiet Tuesday, a new menu, a table that has just opened up. They should cost something you can count, and show you what came of them.
Boost is built that way. You choose the offer, choose who hears about it, see the price before you pay and read what it brought in afterwards.
How does Boost work on Mosey?
Pick what to boost
Create a promotion, an event, a special, a voucher, a dish, a menu or a trail and Mosey offers to notify people about it. You can also boost an existing item from the Push Notifications tab under Outreach.
Choose who hears
Choose your followers, your paying members and guests nearby who agreed to nearby offers. The estimate shows how many people each group reaches and who is left out. Members can hear first, with a head start of an hour, six hours or a day.
Check, pay and send
Preview the push on a phone, send yourself a test, then pay. Send it now or schedule it. Afterwards the Results tab shows sends, opens and taps, and the orders, payments and bookings that followed within 48 hours.
What do my guests see?
A short, plain push
A title of up to 60 characters and a message of up to 120, on their phone, from your business. Tapping it opens the offer in the Mosey app.
Only what they asked for
A guest hears from you only if they said yes to your offers. Quiet hours and the cap on offers a guest gets in one day are respected, so a push that would land at two in the morning goes to their inbox instead.
A way to say no
A guest can turn your offers off whenever they like, and a guest who has said no is never reached, not even as a nearby guest. A campaign never writes to the same person twice.
Consent is checked by the system every time, not by you. A Boost only ever reaches people who said yes.
How do I send my first Boost?
- Claim your business free, then create the thing you want people to hear about: a promotion, an event or a special.
- Choose Boost when Mosey offers it, or open Outreach and pick the item from the Push Notifications tab.
- Tick followers, members and nearby guests and read the estimate. It shows the price, and how many people each group reaches, before you pay.
- Write your own title and message or use a saved template, and send yourself a test to see it on a phone.
- Send it now, or schedule it for the time your customers are deciding where to eat.
- Open Results and spending two days later. Keep what worked, and set a limit for each day and each month so the spend never surprises you.
What does Boost cost on Mosey?
Boost is paid per person reached, and the price is on the screen before you pay: nothing is charged until you confirm. Bigger sends get a volume discount and your first Boost is half price. Seeing your customers and grouping them is free. The pricing page shows the rest of Mosey's rates.
How is Boost different from social media ads and email newsletters?
A social media ad is bought by the view or the click and aimed at strangers, and its results are the platform's own figures. A Boost goes to people who follow you, belong to your membership or opted in to nearby offers, and its results count the orders, payments and bookings that followed.
A newsletter needs a list you built and kept clean. Your followers and members are already on Mosey, with their consent recorded and respected for you. Where a guest has also said yes to email, an automated win-back reaches them by email as well.
Boost sits beside the rest of Outreach. Customer groups find regulars who have gone quiet, new customers and members who have stopped coming, and automated win-backs write to them on a budget you set, then stop when the budget is used.
Who is Boost right for?
A business with something to say and a reason to say it this week: a new menu, an event with seats left, a promotion for a quiet window, a trail you lead. It suits a café with a loyal following, a restaurant filling a midweek night and a bakery launching a seasonal bake. A business that never has anything to announce can leave it off.
Tell the people who asked to hear from you
Claim your business free, create your next offer and see the price of telling people about it before you pay.
Boost and outreach questions from owners
What is Boost?
Boost is a paid send that tells people about something you made on Mosey, such as a promotion, an event, a special, a voucher, a dish, a menu or a trail. You choose who hears about it and see the price first.
Who can I reach with Boost?
Your followers and paying members who agreed to hear from you, and guests nearby who agreed to nearby offers. Owners are left out, and a nearby send skips your own followers and members, who have their own channels.
What does it cost?
A price per person reached, shown before you pay, with a volume discount on bigger sends and half price on your first Boost. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
Who can send a Boost?
People with the Marketing, promotions & events permission, which owners and managers have by default.
Can I schedule a Boost?
Yes. Send it now or choose a time. A scheduled Boost can be cancelled for a refund before it goes out.
Can I limit how much I spend?
Yes. Set a limit for each day and for each month, or pause every paid send at once. A limit stops a new purchase and never undoes one you have already paid for.
How do I know it worked?
The Results and spending tab shows sends, opens and taps, and counts the orders, payments and bookings that followed within 48 hours, crediting the latest message from you.
What counts as consent in Ireland?
A guest who joins your rewards starts with your offers on and a switch to turn them off. A follow alone is not permission. Every send is checked against the guest's own choice, so you never have to check a list yourself.
