Booking widget for your website

A booking widget for your own website, with deposits and your branding

Put a booking form on your own site, share a hosted booking link, or print a QR for your door. Guests book without an account, and the booking lands in the same diary as everything else.

Free to claim

Every tool is optional.

Why do website visitors leave without booking?

A phone number on a website is an invitation to ring at the busiest time. A contact form means a reply tomorrow, and a guest who wanted to book tonight has already tried somewhere else.

Most diners want to see free times, pick one and finish in a minute. A booking tool that asks them to download an app first loses a good share of them.

The Mosey widget works in the browser, needs no account and writes into the diary you already run.

How does the Mosey booking widget work?

  1. Claim your booking address

In Reservations Settings, open your booking page, switch it on and choose a short address. You get a hosted booking link and a QR code you can print.

  2. Add it to your site

Copy the embed snippet into your website. It shows the form inline on a page, or as a Book a table button that opens a pop-up. The snippet also carries a small Bookings by Mosey link under the form, which links to your page on Mosey. You can leave it out.

  3. Guests book in four steps

A guest picks the party size, date and time from live availability, adds their details, pays a deposit if you ask for one and gets a confirmation with a link to view or cancel.

What does a guest see on your website?

Your colours, your logo

Set an accent colour, a logo and a short welcome line. The widget wears them, with a small Powered by Mosey line.

Only times you can honour

Availability comes from your booking rules, so guests see the times your diary can seat, not a wish list.

A page to manage the booking

The confirmation carries a link where the guest can look at the booking and cancel it under your refund policy.

A booking made through the widget is held to the same rules as one made in the app: your deposit, your cancellation window and, on Host, your repeat no-show rule.

How do I add the booking widget to my website?

  1. Host your business on Mosey, choose Starter or Host and set your booking hours and party sizes in Reservations Settings.
  2. Connect your Stripe account in Account and billing if you want to take deposits.
  3. Open your booking page settings, switch it on and choose your address. Add an accent colour, a logo and an intro line.
  4. Choose whether bookings are confirmed straight away or arrive as requests for you to approve.
  5. Copy the embed code into your site, in the page where you want the form. Add a Book a table button if you would rather open it as a pop-up.
  6. Put the hosted link in your Instagram bio and your Google listing, print the QR for your door and make a test booking.

What does the booking widget cost?

The widget is part of Starter at €79.99 a month and Host at €169.99 a month. Deposits taken through it carry no Mosey fee, and Stripe's card fee is passed on at cost. There is no charge per booking or per cover.

How is this different from a booking link on someone else's site?

Your guests book on your website, in your colours, and the booking goes into your own diary and guest book. You keep the customer's details.

The widget has no per-booking fee. You pay a flat monthly plan, and a deposit costs you only Stripe's card fee.

Who should add a booking widget?

Any restaurant, bar or café with its own website, a Google listing or an Instagram page that sends people to book. If you only take walk-ins, the walk-in queue on the Free plan is the better fit.

Let your website take the booking

Booking widget: questions from owners

  • Do guests need a Mosey account to book?

No. They pick a time, leave a name, email and phone number, pay a deposit if you ask for one and are booked.

  • Can I take deposits through the widget?

Yes. If your rules need a deposit, the guest pays it by card in the form before the booking is confirmed.

  • Can I approve bookings before they are confirmed?

Yes. Switch on request-to-book and each booking arrives as a request for you to confirm.

  • Does it work on any website builder?

It works anywhere you can paste a snippet of code into a page. If you cannot, share the hosted booking link instead.

  • Can a guest change or cancel a booking?

A guest can cancel from the link in their confirmation, under your refund policy. A guest cannot change a booking if the deposit would change, or if it is inside two hours.
