Analytics
Restaurant analytics that show how people find you
Views of your page, then what came after: follows, bookings, orders and vouchers, over the dates you choose. See your quiet hours, your ratings and every fee, with the customer relationship staying yours.

How do I know whether my marketing is working?
You spend on ads, a post, a flyer or a boost, and have no idea whether anyone came in because of it. A busy night feels like proof and a quiet one feels like failure, and neither tells you what to do on Monday.
Most dashboards report covers and revenue, which say what happened and nothing about what will. They rarely show who your regulars are or what each fee actually cost.
Mosey shows how people find you and what they do once they have: your page views, then the follows, bookings, orders and vouchers that followed. You compare each period with the one before and decide one thing to change.
How do analytics work on Mosey?
Open Analytics and pick a range
Choose a date range and start with views, then look at the actions after them, for the features you have switched on. A page with plenty of views and few actions needs a better photo, clearer hours or a menu with prices.
Compare with last time
Compare each period with the one before, because a number alone tells you nothing. Check four things each week: views, the actions that follow, your newest ratings and any rating that needs a reply.
Change one thing and look again
Change one thing, such as a photo or a lunch special, and look again after two weeks. Changing five things at once teaches you nothing. Then read the narrower reports: till shifts, loyalty insights and catering.
What can I see about my customers and my fees?
How people find you
Views of your page and what they led to, including where bookings come from: the app, your website widget, Instagram or a walk-in entered by staff.
Your ratings and Mosey picks
Mosey picks shows the lists your business appears in, built from guest ratings of what they ate, and Gold is earned from ratings alone. A pick publishes only when it has at least three businesses, and nobody can pay to be in one.
Every fee, itemised
Billing lists each fee type for the month and the transactions behind it, using the amount recorded when each order was placed, so a later rate change never alters a past month. Download the invoice as a PDF.
Customer figures count the people who have dealt with your business, and only guests who agreed are included in some views. Use them for direction, not as a headcount.
How do I use analytics without drowning in numbers?
- Claim your business free and complete your page, so there is something to measure.
- Open Analytics once a week, at the same time, and look at views before actions.
- Give the person who needs it the view analytics permission. Owners and managers have it by default and staff do not.
- Write down one change you will make and the date you will look again, two weeks later.
- Use the Counter's insights to see how many taps led to a visit and which are repeats, and campaign results to see what a message brought in.
- Ignore a single bad day, a quiet week after a holiday and any number that moved by a handful of views.
What do analytics cost on Mosey?
Nothing. Analytics, Mosey picks, the till's shift reports and your monthly billing are part of the dashboard. Fees on what you sell are listed on the feature pages and on the pricing page, and billing shows what each one cost you.
How is this different from a delivery app's report or a spreadsheet?
A delivery app shows you its orders and keeps the customer. On Mosey the relationship is yours: you can see your own regulars and reach the guests who agreed to hear from you.
A spreadsheet needs you to collect the numbers. Mosey records them as they happen, from your page, your bookings, your orders and your till, so the picture is already there.
Mosey is also honest about what it cannot see. Customer counts are of people who dealt with your business and, where a view depends on consent, only those who agreed. They are smaller than your door count by design.
Who are analytics right for?
Any business that switches on more than one tool. A café uses it to find its real quiet hours. A restaurant uses it to see where bookings come from. A bar uses the ratings to see which dishes are named. A food truck can see what people did after they found its page. Owners of several sites get one view across them in the chain pages.

Analytics questions from owners
Who can see Analytics?
People with the view analytics permission, which owners and managers have by default. Staff do not, but an owner can switch it on for one person.
Can I pay to move up in Mosey picks?
No. Picks and Gold are built from guest ratings alone. Nobody can buy a position, and the same rules apply to every business.
Why do my customer numbers look low?
Some views count only people who agreed to be contacted, and all of them count people who dealt with your business rather than everyone who walked past.
How often should I look?
Once a week is plenty. Compare with the previous period, change one thing and look again after two weeks.
Where do I see till sales?
In the Till group under Reports, which holds X and Z reports for each shift. Analytics shows how people find you, while the till reports show what was sold.
Can I see what each fee cost me?
Yes. Billing lists each fee type for the month and the transactions behind it, and you can download the invoice.
Can I compare more than one business?
If you own more than one, the chain pages give owners one view across them, with each person keeping a role per site.
