How do I fill midweek rooms without handing a cut to a booking site?
A booking site fills rooms and takes a commission on every one, sets your rates beside everyone else's and owns the relationship with the guest. For a guesthouse with a good dining room, the dinner is the reason to stay, and it gets lost in a list of prices.
Food lovers choose where to go because of where they can eat. They are not comparing room rates first. They are looking for a tasting menu, a long lunch or a harvest weekend.
Food Stays puts your break where those guests already look and sends them to your own booking page. Nothing goes through Mosey but the introduction.
How do Food Stays work on Mosey?
Set up as a hotel
Create your business as a hotel, guesthouse or B and B and choose Set up for Mosey Food Stays. Your dashboard is trimmed to what a hotel needs. Write your food story and pick a plan.
Build a break
Create an offer with its nights, what is included, the dietary options, photographs, the dates it is available and your booking link. Link the restaurant that provides the food, yours or a neighbour's. A neighbour accepts the link from its own dashboard.
Guests click through
Guests browse Foodie Breaks, or find your break on the page for your town in Mosey Travel, and tap to check dates and book. They land on your website. You see views, saves and clicks for every offer.
What do guests see?
A break with dinner at the centre
Photographs, what is included, the dates it runs and the linked restaurant with its food rating. The dinner is the headline and the room is the second line.
Two ratings, never blended
The break carries its own rating and the restaurant carries its food rating, side by side. Mosey never averages them, because was the stay good and is the food good are different questions.
A button to your own site
Check dates and book opens your booking page. Mosey takes no commission and no booking fee, and the booking, the rate and your cancellation policy stay yours.
Mosey introduces the guest and steps aside. The booking, the rate and the relationship are yours.
How do I list my first break?
- Claim your business free and set up as a hotel, guesthouse or B and B, choosing Set up for Mosey Food Stays.
- Choose a plan under Subscription. The smallest plan suits a first try, and you can change plan as you go.
- Write your food story in Hotel profile: who cooks, what is local and why people come for dinner.
- Invite the restaurant that provides the food. It can be your own or a neighbour's, and it accepts from its own dashboard.
- Build one offer properly, with good photographs of the food as well as the room, your own booking link and the dates it is available.
- Publish, then watch the Analytics tab for views, saves and clicks, and swap offers with the seasons.

How is this different from a hotel booking site?
A booking site is a shop window for rooms. You pay a share of each booking, you compete on price and the guest's relationship is with the site. Food Stays is an introduction: guests find a break, click through and book with you directly at your own rate.
Mosey is not selling your rooms, so it has no rate for you to match and no say in your cancellation policy.
What Food Stays is not: a channel manager, a booking engine or a payment taker. Mosey does not hold your room calendar, take a booking or take money from the guest.
Who are Food Stays right for?
Hotels with a serious dining room, guesthouses and B and Bs known for breakfast or a set dinner, and inns with a restaurant attached. A hotel with no food to talk about gains little, because the break is built around the dinner.
