What Mosey does

Plan a night out with friends: make a plan and let everyone vote

Choose a few places and times, ask your friends to vote and book the winner in one tap. Or make a plan on your own to help you decide.

What is a plan on Mosey?

A plan turns a list of places into a night out that your friends vote on. You pick the options, they approve the ones they like, and you book the winner.

It replaces the long thread of maybes, and it keeps the plan, the votes and the booking in one place you can open again later.

How do I make a plan?

  1. Pick places and times

From a list or a trip, choose up to five places and up to two times. Each place at each time is an option.

  2. Ask your friends to vote

Invite people you follow. They see the options with live availability and vote for the ones they like. Or ask nobody and use the plan to compare choices on your own.

  3. Book the winner

When the votes are in, the organiser books the winning option in one tap, and the friends who joined are added to the booking as guests.

Where do I start a plan?

A plan starts from a list of places, or from a trip you are putting together. Open the list, choose the places you are torn between and the night you have in mind.

What does each friend see?

Someone you invite sees the options and a card to join or say no thanks. Once they join, they can vote. Each option shows whether a table is free at that time, so nobody votes for a place that is full.

What happens when we book?

The organiser books the winner in one tap. The booking is an ordinary booking, so the place's rules apply and any deposit is shown before you confirm. The friends who joined are added as guests.

If a deposit is needed, you can split it between everyone from the guest list.

What if the group is bigger than eight?

A plan books up to eight people at a table. For a larger party, the app hands you over to a group request, where the place replies with a quote for the date and the space.

Why make a plan on Mosey?

Because the group chat never settles. A plan puts real options with real availability in front of everyone, counts the votes for you and books through the same booking as any other table.

  • The options show real availability, so nobody votes for a full place.
  • The votes are counted for you, and the booking takes one tap.
  • The plan, the guests and the deposit split all live on one screen.

Questions about making a plan

  • How many places and times can I put in a plan?

Up to five places and two times, so at most ten options. A plan needs at least two options to vote on.

  • Who can vote on my plan?

People you invite who join the plan. Someone you invite sees the options and chooses to join or say no thanks before they can vote.

  • How does the voting work?

By approval. Each person marks every option they would be happy with, and the option with the most approvals wins.

  • What if the table is not free any more?

Each option shows availability from the same search as a normal booking. If the booking is refused when you book the winner, the plan goes back to open, so you can pick another option.

  • What if there are more than eight of us?

A plan books tables of up to eight. For a bigger group, the app takes you to a group request, which the place answers with a quote.

  • Do I have to ask anyone?

No. You can make a plan on your own to compare a few places for tonight.

  • Can we split the deposit?

Yes. Once the plan is booked, you can start the deposit split from the guest list, and each friend pays their share in the app.

  • Will we be asked to rate the night?

Yes. After the night, each person is offered a rating, with the friends they went with already tagged.
