What Mosey does
Make and share lists of places to eat with friends
Make a list in the app, name it, add places and share it with friends. Public lists appear on Mosey for anyone to browse.
What is a Mosey list?
A list is a short collection of places you want to remember: somewhere for Sunday lunch, the cafes near work, a run of places to try on a trip. You name it, add places as you find them and keep a note on each one.
Because every place on Mosey comes with its ratings and photos, a list is more than a bookmark. When it is time to choose, you are looking at the food, not hunting through screenshots and messages.
How do I make a list of places to eat?
Start a list
Name it in the app, like Sunday lunch or Date night, and say what it is for.
Add places as you find them
Save a place from its page and it joins your list, ratings and photos included. Add a line on why it belongs.
Share it or keep it private
Choose public or private, and invite friends to add theirs.
What can I do with the places in a list?
Each list is a working page, not a flat set of names.
Add a note to each place
Say why it belongs: the dish to order, the table to ask for, who you went with. Friends who join the list can add notes too.
Group places into sections
Once a list has a few places in it, you can split it into sections of your own, such as breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Sort and see your own ratings
Sort by highest rated or by date added, and see which places you have already rated and which you have not.
See it on a map
Switch to the map to see how the places sit together, which helps when you are planning a day out.
Can I build a list with friends?
Yes. You can invite people you follow who follow you back, or share an invite link. Whoever you send the link to can join as a collaborator, even if they are not on Mosey yet. If a link has expired or been used, ask the list owner for a new one.
Everyone sees the same list, and each person can add places and notes. It works well for a trip, a group of friends choosing where to meet or a team picking somewhere for the next lunch.
If you would rather keep it to yourself, choose just me, and only you can add or change anything.
Who can see my list?
You choose two things, and they are separate: who can see the list and who can add to it.
- Public and just you: anyone can find and follow it, but only you can change it.
- Public with friends: anyone can find and follow it, and you and the friends you invite can add to it.
- Private and just you: only you can see it.
- Private with friends: only you and the friends you invite can see it and add to it.
What can I do with other people's lists?
Browse the most saved and liked public lists, save one to your own lists, or copy it and make it yours to edit. Copying is a quick way to start a list for a trip when someone has already done the legwork.
A list also shows what is happening at each place right now, such as whether it is taking bookings today or has Order Ahead open, so a list can turn into a plan.
What lists are worth making?
The best lists have a clear job. A few that people make:
- Sunday lunch, for the places that do a proper roast.
- Date night, with a note on where to sit.
- Places to take visitors, in the order you would walk them.
- Cafes within a walk of work.
- Places to try this month, which you tick off by rating them.
- A trip, built with the friends coming along.
Why keep a list on Mosey and not in your screenshots?
A saved place keeps its ratings and photos with it, so you are not hunting through screenshots and messages when it is time to choose.
- Everything about a place sits in one spot: its photos, what people ordered and what is on today.
- Friends add their own places, and everyone sees the same list, so there is one plan and not five.
- Your lists stay yours. You choose who sees them, and you can delete one whenever you like.
Which public lists can I read now?
Made in the app by people who ate there, and chosen to be public.
The next good place is easier to find if you keep it

Questions about lists
Can I keep a list private?
Yes. You choose public or private for each list, and you can invite friends to add their own places.
Can anyone see my public list?
Yes. A public list can be read on Mosey by anyone, without an account. A private list is only for you and the friends you invite.
Do I need the app to make a list?
Yes, lists are made in the Mosey app. You can read public lists on this site without an account.
Can I add a place that is not on Mosey yet?
Yes. You can add a place by its address, and Mosey checks its details. Once it is on the list, you can add a note to it like any other.
Can I copy someone else's list?
Yes. Copy a public list and it becomes yours to edit, so you can take out what you do not want and add your own.
How do I invite friends to a list?
Open the list and tap Invite people. You can invite people you follow who follow you back, or share an invite link that lets the person you send it to join as a collaborator.
What are My Favourites and Top Rated?
They are two lists every account has. My Favourites holds the places you save as favourites, and Top Rated holds the places you rated highest. They are always there.
Can I delete a list?
Yes, if you own it. Deleting a list cannot be undone, so the app asks you to confirm first.
