Courses and certificates
Sell cooking classes and courses, or train your team and track certificates
Build an online course, run a class with dates and seats, or assign training to your staff. Learners earn a certificate anyone can check, and you see who has finished.
Free to claim
Every tool is optional.
How do I turn what my kitchen knows into income, or train staff without a spreadsheet?
You know how to laminate dough, pour a pint properly or run a Friday service. People will pay to learn it. Without a tool, a class is a message thread, a bank transfer and a sign-in sheet.
Staff training is the same story. Food safety and allergen training has to be kept up to date, and a folder of certificates tells you nothing about who is overdue.
Mosey Courses covers both. Sell a course or a class to the public, or assign training to your team and see progress, deadlines and expiring certificates together.
How do courses work on Mosey?
Build the course
Open Courses and choose how it is delivered: online, in person or both. An online course has sections, video or text lessons, quizzes and practical tasks. An in-person class needs a date, an address and a number of seats. Set a price, or leave it free.
Learners enrol
Learners find the course on the Mosey Jobs website, pay by card and learn there. For a class they book a session, join a waitlist if it is full and check in with a code you show on the day, or you mark attendance by hand.
Certificates and training records
Finish every lesson, pass every quiz and attend every date, and Mosey issues a certificate with a number anyone can check online, and a PDF to download. A compliance course carries an expiry date, and Staff training shows who is overdue or expiring.
What do my learners and staff see?
A course page with the facts
The price, how it is delivered, the dates and seats for a class, what to bring and your refund terms before they pay. The meeting link for an online session is shown only to people who have booked.
Progress they can follow
An online learner sees their progress, takes quizzes and earns points and badges for a streak of study days. A class learner sees every date they have to attend.
A certificate to keep
A certificate with a unique number, the course name, your business and the date, which anyone can check on the verify page, and a PDF to download or print.
A certificate is only issued when every gate is passed: all lessons, all quizzes, all practicals and, for a class, every date attended.
How do I run my first course or training?
- Claim your business free, open Account, then Enable features, and switch on Courses. For a paid course, connect Stripe in Account and billing.
- Pick one thing you teach well. A single in-person class with one date is the lightest thing to launch.
- Build it in the course wizard: basics, curriculum, quizzes, then preview and publish. For a class, add a session with its date, seats and address, or a meeting link.
- Set your refund rule. An online course defaults to the legal 14-day cancellation right, and a class takes the cut-off you choose before the first date.
- To train your own team, open Staff training, assign a course to a person with a due date and watch progress, overdue and expiring certificates.
- Review practical submissions in the queue, read learners' reviews and reply to them.
What does selling a course cost on Mosey?
There is no monthly fee. On a paid course Mosey's fee is made of two published rates, a buyer fee of 5% and a business commission of 5%, with VAT on Mosey's fee, and it comes out of your payout. The learner also pays the flat processing fee shown below. A free course has no fee. Assigning your own course to your own staff costs €3.99 per person, per course, charged to your business.
- Courses: buyer fee
- 5%
- Courses: venue commission
- 5%
- Courses: internal staff enrolment
- €3.99 per person, per course
- Processing fee on non-order products (including VAT)
- €1.29
How is this different from a video platform or a booking form?
A video course platform hosts lessons but knows nothing about your kitchen or your staff. Courses on Mosey sit beside your rota, your team and your page, so training your own people and teaching the public use the same tool.
A booking form takes a name and a payment and leaves the rest to you. A class on Mosey holds the seats, never sells the same seat twice, keeps a waitlist, takes attendance and issues the certificate when every date is attended.
What it is not: there is no course screen in the Mosey app yet, and Mosey does not host video calls. Learners use the Mosey Jobs website, and an online session uses your own meeting link.
Who are courses right for?
A baker teaching bread on Sunday mornings. A bar with a cocktail masterclass. A restaurant group training new starters in allergens and service. A cookery school with a curriculum and quizzes. A business with no time to teach can leave Courses switched off.

Course questions from owners
Can I run in-person classes?
Yes. A class has one or more dates, a number of seats and an address, or an online meeting link. A learner books one session and must attend every date to finish. Dates cannot be changed once created, so cancel the session and create a new one.
What does Mosey charge?
No monthly fee. A paid course carries Mosey's published buyer fee and business commission, with VAT on Mosey's fee. The pricing page shows the figures.
How do certificates work?
A certificate is issued when every lesson, quiz and practical is done and, for a class, every date is attended. It carries a unique number anyone can check online and has a PDF. A compliance course can carry an expiry date.
Can I train my own staff?
Yes. Assign a course to someone on your team, set a due date and follow progress under Staff training. You see who is overdue and whose certificate is expiring. It costs the published internal staff rate for each person and course.
Where do learners take the course?
On the Mosey Jobs website. There is no course screen in the Mosey app yet, and a Browse courses link in your dashboard takes you to the public list.
What if a learner wants a refund?
You choose. An online course defaults to the legal 14-day cancellation right. A class follows a cut-off you set before the first date, and a refund frees the seat for the next person on the waitlist.
Who can create courses?
People with the manage courses permission.
