Card processing is left out on both sides. Mosey passes Stripe's card fee to you at cost, and card fees in person are close to what other providers charge, so no saving is claimed on them.
Mosey's fees carry VAT at 23% for a business in Ireland. Both sides are compared before VAT, which a VAT-registered business reclaims.
What your guests pay
Guests pay Mosey a booking fee on every online order, shown before they pay: €0.60 on an order this size. On your online orders that comes to €144 a month, paid by the guest and not by you.
Other purchases, such as vouchers and tickets, carry a flat processing fee of €1.29. A table reservation and a Mosey Pay bill in your business carry no guest fee.
Every Mosey rate on this page is read from the same code that charges it, so it is always current. Your figures stay in your browser: nothing is sent or saved.
How the sums work
Your cost now is what you type for each kind of tool you tick, plus the delivery apps' commission on your delivery sales. A tool you tick without typing a cost counts nothing, and the page says which ones are waiting.
Mosey's side is its reservations plan for your bookings (free up to a monthly limit, then Starter, or Host if you need its features), 1.5% on online ordering, 6% on the delivery sales you move, and its in-store fee on card sales if you replace your till, which stops at a monthly cap. Every Mosey figure is read from the same code that charges it.
Tools Mosey does not replace here, such as a rota, stock control or a phone answering service, cost the same on both sides. A till is replaced only if you tick it, because a kitchen with printers and screens may need more than a browser till.
No other company's price is filled in. Prices for this kind of software depend on contracts, hardware, add-ons and where you are, so the only figures that hold are the ones on your own bills.
Card processing is in neither total. Stripe's fee is passed to you at cost and is close to what the main providers charge in person, so a saving on it would be a promise Mosey cannot keep.
Questions owners ask
Why do I have to type my own costs?
Because the figures on your own bills are the only ones that are right for you. What other providers charge depends on your contract, your hardware, your add-ons and your country, so Mosey fills none of it in. Only Mosey's own side is filled in, from the rates it publishes.
Why is there no saving on card processing?
Mosey passes Stripe's card fee to you at cost, and in-person card fees from the main providers are close to it. The saving is in the software and the commission, so that is all this calculator counts.
Does Mosey replace my till?
Mosey has a till that runs in a browser on a tablet or laptop you already own. This calculator leaves your till where it is unless you tick it, because what suits a kitchen with printers and screens depends on the kitchen.
What do my guests pay?
Guests pay a booking fee on each online order, which scales with the order and is shown before they pay, and a flat processing fee on other purchases such as vouchers and tickets. A table reservation and a Mosey Pay bill in your business carry no guest fee. They are shown apart from your cost because your guests pay them, not you.
Does it include VAT or sales tax?
No. Both sides are before tax. VAT on Mosey's fee, and on another provider's, is reclaimable by a VAT-registered business, so leaving it out keeps the comparison fair. Mosey's fees carry VAT only for a business in Ireland.
